Experimental Lakes
Short Documentary | 30min

Director/Producer/Editor/Cinematographer

A poetic rumination on the grit and labour that goes into accumulating scientific data,
Experimental Lakes is a short film that follows two evolutionary scientists as they undertake a
30 year study to examine humanity’s unintentional impacts on the evolution of wild fish.

Discover the compelling story of Cree and Inuit communities fighting to protect their waters — the lifeblood of families for millenia. Produced by Pristine Seas at National Geographic Society, this film offers an intimate look into the heart of the vital Hudson Bay and James Bay ecosystems. For countless generations, these thriving waters have sustained communities’ way of life. Through stunning, never-before-seen underwater footage captured by the National Geographic expedition team and gorgeous animations, the film brings to life the emotional and inspiring voices of local communities stepping up to save their homelands.

The Peel Project - Feature Documentary
Director/Producer/Editor

The Peel Project is a multi-layered venture bringing together film, the arts and sciences as a means of telling a uniquely Canadian story of art, adventure and Canadian wilderness. The Peel highlights the vibrancy of the Peel River Watershed in Yukon/Northwest territories. This watershed is one of the last intact watersheds left in North America, spanning nearly 68,000km2 of arctic wilderness. As of January 2014 71% was opened to economic development — a decision that has been passionately fought ever since.
